Welcome

Welcome to goneviralcommunications.blogspot.com!  As a marketing &

communications consultant with a background in arts and nonprofit administration, I

’m excited to share some thoughts (and hopefully start some conversations)

about communications & emerging media in the digital age.

Aside from my career experiences in the cultural sector I  have an avid interest

in nonpartisan advocacy and political activism, including developing and disseminating

tools to help everyday people to determine fact from fiction in a digital post-truth

environment, and wrestling with the ongoing question of whether the net benefit of

the viral aspect of our digital communications is beneficial or detrimental to society.

In the coming months the weekly posts on this blog will examine the following:

January 14     For Whom the Bell Tolls:  Are Newspapers Dying?

January 21    Media Convergence: Information is flowing like a river

January 28    The Digital Divide

February 4    How Social is Social Media?

February 13    Citizen Journalism & Digital Democracy - Are they enough?

February 20    Social Media and Political Polarization

February 25    Your Personal Brand

March 4    What Lies Ahead
